PBHS History Club to host Black History program

The Pine Bluff High School History Club will present its annual Black History program at 9:45 a.m. Thursday in McFadden Gymnasium.

The guest speaker will be Adrienne Hatchett, a 2008 honor graduate of PBHS. Hatchett graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a bachelor’s degree in biology in May 2012. She currently resides in Little Rock and is in enrolled in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she is a participant in the Arkansas Rural Medicine Scholarship Program.

Hatchett is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., American Medical Association, American Medical Women’s Association and the Student National Medical Association, where she works with undergraduate institutions in central Arkansas, urging pre-medical students peruse careers in professional healthcare.

She is the daughter of Donald and Annette Hatchett.
