PBHS Class of 1960 celebrates Valentine’s Day at recent gathering

The Pine Bluff High School Class of 1960 met recently at the Wright’s Ranch House BBQ.

Doug Smith gave the blessing.

Those attending were Marie Brown Jones and guest J.W. Anderson, Robert Porter, Doug and Linda Smith, O.B. McGraw, Arlie and Barbara Rogers, Janice Helvie Tiner and guest Billy Cheek, Jerry and Ruby Wessels Poteet, Bill and Norma Ridgway Ray, Barbara Poole Hall, Ham and Juanita Waddle.

Tiner passed around the Sunday Arkansas Gazette Democrat to everyone to see if they could pick out three people they should know. Most everyone found former president Bill Clinton, Jay Bradford and classmate, Fred Ursery of Little Rock.

The group celebrated Valentine’s Day by picking a couple that just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Jerry Poteet was the king and Ruby Wessels Poteet was the queen. They received a red rose and a box of Valentine candy.

Everyone received a knitted red and white dishcloth representing Valentine’s Day and the Zebras colors.

The group will meet at 6:15 p.m. Thursday at Wright’s Ranch House BBQ. All classmates are invited to attend.
