Patti Miller Durham
Pine Bluff Christian Women’s Connection will host its monthly luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Pine Bluff Country Club.
The featured speaker will be Patti Miller Durham from Keller, Texas.
The title of her talk will be “Living Right Side Up In An Upside Down World.”
Family is a big part of Durham’s life and she has taken care of her mother for eight years. Her daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons live close by. Even though Durham would be described by everyone as a caregiver, always putting her family first, she has found the time for success in many areas of the business world. Her business success started in the cosmetic industry where she launched a successful South Texas territory for a national cosmetic company. Later she founded her own cosmetic company and watched it grow throughout 30 states across the United States. With the business entrepreneur spirit growing, she founded an international photography supply company, which is now owned and operated by her daughter.
Since 1978, Durham has conducted an adjunct-speaking career. She has spoken for major conventions across the United States and Hawaii. The Zig Ziglar Corporation has reproduced one of her speeches to train their own salespeople. Her life testimony of how Jesus has brought her through the challenges that she faced has put her on the speaking circuit for Stonecroft Ministries and other Christian events. Her growing desire to help others and share what she has learned from her walk with Jesus in her circle of life has led her to write inspirational columns and publish articles in many different periodicals.
She has published her first book, “I Saw Heaven!”, which is an inspirational story about life-changing conversations that she had with her brother.
The special feature will be the annual fundraiser for the year, a silent auction and bake sale. This will feature homemade items such as quilts, baked goods and the white elephant table. Proceeds will benefit Stonecroft Ministries.
All women in Pine Bluff and surrounding communities are invited to attend the luncheon. This event is sponsored by Christian Women’s Connection, which is part of the Stonecroft Ministries in Kansas City, Mo.
