MaryAnn “Ruby” Rogers to celebrate 102nd birthday

The family of MaryAnn Elizabeth Ruby Rogers will honor her in celebration of her upcoming 102nd birthday.

Rogers was born Feb. 26, 1911, to the late Robert and Emma Williams. At a young age, she married Eugene Rogers, who died at the age of 100. Known as “Ruby”, she has seven children and an extended family of five generations.

A family spokesman said Rogers still strives to take care of herself and loves to give advice on canning and quilting, two things she loves.

“We love, honor and respect her for being a virtuous mother and grandmother who loves all of her family,” the spokesman said.
