The Joe Pitts Band will be back to Live@5 with a new line-up and a familiar sound from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 Main St.
Liquid Groove Mojo alumni, Al Hagood, on bass guitar, powerhouse drummer, Chris Moore from The Delta Hurricanes, and Stuart Baer on Hammond/keys. Blending songs and tones from LGM with a fresh new sound, new songs and a brand new CD for 2013, Pitts is excited to get back where he left off, playing more slide guitar, and fusing blues with a modern sound.
The cost of the evening, sponsored by M.K. Distributors, is $5 for members and $10 for non-members.
The center is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, and is closed on Sunday. Support for ASC is provided in part by the Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Hands-on science exhibits are offered through the center’s partnership with Arkansas Discovery Network, a consortium of seven museums in Arkansas funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.
