First United Methodist Church to host Christmas services

First United Methodist Church, 200 W. Sixth Ave., will offer the community three special opportunities for worship this Christmas.

A “Community Christmas Celebration” will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday. The festivities will feature music by contemporary Christian artist, Kyle Thurman, favorite Christmas carols, a Christmas pageant for children, and a free meal after worship with games and gifts to follow.

Mid-Day at the Manger will be held at noon Monday in the fellowship hall. This half-hour service of worship will be led by Fred Arnold, and will be followed by a soup and sandwich luncheon. A Candlelight Communion service will be held at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary and will be led by David Fleming, senior pastor. This service will feature special music, story-time with a free gift for children, and an inspiring message of hope. Both services will include a sharing of the Lord’s Supper open to all.

Everyone is invited to attend the services. For more information, call 870-535-0935 or log onto www.DowntownForGood.com.
