First Trinity to present one-act play

In observance of its 45th annual homecoming and as a salute to African American Heritage, First Trinity Church of God in Christ, 800 S. Catalpa St., will present a one-act play entitled, “The Chip Woman’s Fortune” by Willis Richardson on Feb. 20-23 at 7 nightly.

An African American salute will be presented each night at 6:30 p.m. Presenters will include the Rev. Darren D. Edgerson, pastor of St. Peter’s Rock Baptist Church; Elder Henry Hellums of Truth and Love Worship Center Church of God in Christ; and First Trinity and Greater Trinity.

Cast members will include Donna Reed, Jereline Hellums, Barry Williams II, Marinda Williams, Ashleigh Tate, Robyn Watley, Kim Cole-Bentley, LeAnder Johnson, Nehemiah Jefferson, Delton Wright, Lajuan Roaf, Joann Hardnett and Darryl White.

The play will be directed by Linda London Simmons.***
