Extension Homemakers’ annual pecan and peanut sale underway

The Jefferson County Extension Homemakers are holding their annual Georgia pecan and peanut sale.

According to a spokesman, these nuts are excellent for gift giving, freeze well, and are great for use in any recipe.

Prices this year are:

• 5-pound box, shelled fancy pecan halves — $50

• 5-pound cloth bag of shelled peanuts — $14

• 1-pound chocolate double dip peanuts — $7

• 30-pound box, shelled fancy pecan halves — $290

The pecans and peanuts will be available for pick-up after Nov. 14.

Orders should be paid for by Oct. 31. Checks should be made payable to Jefferson County Extension Homemakers and mailed to Debbie James, Jefferson County EHC treasurer, 416 Spears Road, White Hall, Ark., 71602.
