Epsilon Sigma Alpha hosts monthly meeting


The monthly meeting of Sigma Nu Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha was recently held in the home of Bobbie Joyce.

Sandra Malone served as the co-hostess.

Members attending were Wanda Waring, Patti Membrey, Avis Hood, Donna Brown and Kathey Wooley. Wooley gave the thought for the day.

Wooley, Easter Seal chairman, announced that books and magazines, as well as phones and ink cartridges, had been donated to the library at Easter Seals.

Joyce, social chairman, announced plans for 10 members to attend the “Lights, Camera, Arkansas” event to be held at the Old State House Museum on June 7. She also announced that the end-of-the-year social would be a pool party at her home.

Membrey reported on the state convention held at Fort Smith. Sigma Nu won awards for the Gold Lamp for Socials; The Gold Link award for educational; third place in chapter hours; second place for hours per member; third place for monies per chapter; and second place for monies per member for Easter Seals.

The program was given by Brown on “Hints from a Grandmother.”
