The Drew High All-School Reunion has been set for Aug. 8-11 at Monticello.
The theme for this year’s event is “Come and Have a Roaring Good Time.” The host class of 1963 will mark its 50th reunion.
The event will begin Aug. 8 with a downtown parade at 6 p.m. Early bird registration will also be held from 7-9 p.m. at the Ethel Hawkins Christian Family Life Center at Holmes Chapel Presbyterian Church at Monticello.
Registration will continue Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sadie T. Johnson Community Center. A picnic will be held from 2-5 p.m. at Monticello High School cafeteria. In recognition of all veterans, attendees are asked to wear their T-shirts. The day will conclude with a casual-attire dance from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Monticello Fairgrounds.
A business meeting will be held Aug. 10 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Ethel Hawkins Christian Family Life Center. At 7 p.m. a banquet will be held at Monticello High School cafeteria. The speaker will be the Rev. Duane Henderson.
The weekend will conclude at 1 p.m. Aug. 11 with a worship service at Holmes Chapel Presbyterian Church. The speaker will be the Rev. Willie Earl Matthews. Music will be provided by the Drew School Alumni Mass Choir.
