The sixth annual Harbor City Festival & Cook-off at Saracen Landing was deemed a success April 27, according to Trudy Redus, spokeswoman with the Pine Bluff Parks & Recreation Department.
Winners included Pine Bluff Police Department’s Sgt. Michael Jenkins and Sgt. Lynn Wright who won best catfish from the panel of judges and the attendees making them the first place winners for catfish and winners of the People’s Choice Award.
First place gumbo winners were Nina and West Hunt of Hunt D’ Jus. The Peoples Choice award went to Jerre George and Crew from the Southeast Arkansas Regional Planning Commission.
The department thanked all participants and sponsors including Pine Bluff National Bank, Simmons First National Bank, Pine Bluff Convention Center and Visitors Bureau, Arkansas Catfish Promotion Board, Evergreen Packaging, Arkansas Mill Supply, Code Alert, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s aquaculture/fisheries center, UAPB 89.7 KUAP, KTRN Radio and Trotter Ford.
