Project E3 Health & Wellness Initiative Inc., along with its partners, will present its annual Community Health Fair & Family Wellness Expo 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. Registration will begin at 9 a.m.
Free health screenings, health education and awareness information, demonstrations, free samples and more will be provided. There will also be “Ask The Doc” Medical Clinics, which will provide one-on-one interactions with local area physicians. An “Ask The Pharmacist” booth will be available where participants can ask questions and gather information regarding medications and their side effects.
According to Legoria Payton, event organizer, the church with the most members registered will receive a free skating party for its youth ministry.
Presenting partners include the Arkansas Minority Health Commission, Southeast Arkansas Medical Network, Southeast Arkansas Healthcare Coalition, the National Medical Association - National Diabetes Education Initiative, Jefferson Regional Medical Center, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Southeast Arkansas College, the Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation, a local office of the Arkansas Community Foundation, Inc., medical organizations, agencies, businesses, churches and community organizations.
The event is free and open to the public.
