The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 Main St., is excepting entries for the 2013 Irene Rosenzweig Biennial Exhibition.
Entries, including the completed form, CD with images and entry fee check, should be received at the center by Sept. 13. The fee is $20 per entry and checks should be made payable to the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas. There is a maximum of five entries per artist.
An opening reception for the exhibit will be held Nov. 14 from 5-7 p.m. The exhibit will close Dec. 30.
Artists must be 18 years old or older and must reside in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas or Missouri.
Artwork in all traditional forms will be accepted, including paintings, original prints, fiber art, ceramics, sculpture and photography. The center cannot accept video, performance or installation works. Only original artworks by the entering artist will be accepted. No reproductions will be accepted. Entries must have been completed within the past three years and must be framed and/or ready to display. ASC may refuse to exhibit any work that does not comply with the juried image or which the ASC feels is unsuitable for display.
Judging will be held the week of Sept. 23-27 and notification of acceptance or rejection will be made by Oct. 4 via e-mail. A $1,000 award will be given for Best in Show, as well as, three $100 prizes. The juror will be Matthew Lopas, associate professor of art at Hendrix College.
