Camden Road EHC enjoys program of ‘Glorious Soup’

Camden Road Extension Homemakers Club met recently at the Whiteville Missionary Baptist Church.

Nancy Sumner, president, called the meeting to order and read the thought for the day, “It is important to dream. Keep learning, keep doing and get your ducks in a row. When opportunity knocks, you are ready.”

Roll call was made and each member answered by saying whether they preferred creamy or broth-based soup.

The group enjoyed a program presented by Sumner entitled, “Glorious Soup.” She brought broccoli and cheese soup and a chicken and vegetable soup for the group to enjoy.

Three members, Esta Kealer, Kathy Rogers and Judy Cox, attended the Delta District President’s Day in Brinkley.

It was announced the county Fall Council would be held at the end of the month and Camden Road EHC would be the hostess for the event.

The meeting was dismissed with the Homemakers’ Prayer.
