Three Rivers Audubon Society will have a Christmas Bird Count on Dec. 28.
Rob Doster will be in charge of the count and anyone wishing to participate any part of that day should contact him at email@example.com.
Those wishing to count birds in their yard should count the largest number of any one species seen at one time and report their findings and the time spent to Delos McCauley at 870-850-7861 by 6 p.m.
The Christmas Bird Count is conducted on an international basis and is the longest running citizen science wildlife survey in the world. Information gathered shapes conservation efforts. Two successes are the comeback of the Bald Eagle and a significant increase in waterfowl populations.
