Three Rivers Audubon Society announces that the Arkansas Audubon Society’s Halberg Ecology Camp will be open for 11 and 12 year olds who are interested in the natural sciences.
The camp is held each June at Camp Clearfork, a U.S. Forestry Service camp between Hot Springs and Mt. Ida.
In addition to a teaching staff of 14 college and high school teachers, there are two co-directors, a nurse and a kitchen staff. This year marks the 34th year of the camp’s operation.
For information about attending the camp, contact the Three Rivers Audubon Society’s education chairman Kay Cromwell at 267-1384. Applications may also be downloaded from the Halberg Ecology Camp website or obtained from Elizabeth Fulton: firstname.lastname@example.org or at 2705 N. Fillmore St., Little Rock, AR 72207. Some scholarships are available.
