American Red Cross to offer training classes for volunteers


The Southeast Arkansas Chapter of the American Red Cross has scheduled training classes for new and existing volunteers.

Training classes are free and will be taught by certified Red Cross personnel, Hazel Rice, Rebecca White and Willa Baker.

Classes will be offered in Pine Bluff and Monticello. Classes in Pine Bluff will be held at the Red Cross Office, 211 W. Third Ave., and Monticello classes will be taught at the Workforce Training Office, 809 Gaines St., in Monticello.

A schedule of classes is as follows

Pine Bluff

Feb. 5 — Disaster Services: An Overview from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Feb. 7 — Disaster Services: An Overview from 1 to 4 p.m. or 6-9 p.m.

Feb. 12 — Disaster Assessment-Basics from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Feb. 14 — Disaster Assessment-Basics from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

March 12 — Client Casework, Part 1 from 6 to 9:30 p.m.

March 14 — Client Casework, Part 2 from 6-9:30 p.m.

Monticello

Feb. 9 — Disaster Services: An Overview from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Feb. 23 — Disaster Assessment-Basics from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

March 9 — Client Casework from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
