The Pine Bluff Symphony Notables held its annual Membership Luncheon and Style Show on Wednesday at the Pine Bluff Country Club.
The luncheon featured Fashions by Dillard’s with Maribeth Hartsfield as fashion coordinator. Models included Catherine Ann Atkinson, Carolyn Blakely, Emily Cockrum, Yvonne Glien, Mary McBee, Jeanette McGrew, Billie Minton and Jane Nixon.
Drawings were held for a $100 gas card, donated by Knox Nelson Oil Company; $100 cash donated by Bill Ferren; a gift basket donated by Simmons First National Bank; and one night at Margland donated by Wanda Bateman, as well as other drawings throughout the luncheon.
The cost for annual Notables membership are $10 for individuals, $20 for family and $50 for supporter.
Proceeds from the luncheon and annual membership dues help the Notables fulfill their mission as the volunteer support organization for the PBSO by providing meals for the musicians on concert weekends, a free educational concert for all fifth-graders throughout the area, financial support for the orchestra and other volunteer work as needed. The Notables help support a summer workshop for musicians who wish to improve their instrumental skills and offer support to enable students enrolled in orchestra classes to rent instruments for a nominal fee.
