‘Arkansas Pie’ author to be featured during fundraiser at A&S Center

The ArtKrewe, the friends group that hosts receptions for the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, will host a special fundraiser with author Kat Robinson from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.

Robinson, author of “Arkansas Pie”, will talk about her travels across Arkansas in search of the best pies. The book will be available for $20 and Robinson will be on-hand to sign copies.

Admission is $10 and includes a $5 ArtKrewe annual membership and refreshments.

For more information about the book, visit www.arkansaspie.com.

The center, located at 701 Main St., is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, and is closed on Sunday. Support for ASC is provided in part by the Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Hands-on science exhibits are offered through the center’s partnership with Arkansas Discovery Network, a consortium of seven museums in Arkansas funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.
