Radiance Woody and Donald Brown Jr. announce August wedding

The proud parents of Radiance JaVon Woody, James and Arlene Woody, take pleasure in announcing their daughter’s engagement and forthcoming marriage to Donald M. Brown Jr.

Radiance is the granddaughter of Mrs. Annie Oliver Rice, the late Amos Rice, the late Jessie Woody, and the late Ella Clark. She is a 2004 honor graduate of Watson Chapel High School. In 2008, Radiance graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a bachelor of science degree in biology. Radiance continued her education with Capella University, where she recently received a master of public health degree.

Radiance is employed with Ally Financial of Little Rock, Ark. She enjoys freelance photography during her spare time. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and a member of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.

Donald M. Brown Jr. is the son of Paula Parmlee and Donald M. Brown Sr. He is also the grandson of Mrs. Irene Green, the late Bertran C. Green Sr., the late Harry Brown Sr., and the late Louise Brown. Donald is a 2003 graduate of Pine Bluff High School. In 2007, Donald graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a bachelor of science degree in industrial technology. He is currently pursuing a master of science degree in operations management from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Donald is employed with the Federal Bureau of Investigations in Virginia. He is a member of St. John AME Church of Pine Bluff, Ark.

The wedding will be held in late August at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church with a private celebration following the ceremony. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the ceremony.
