Marilyn Urquhart and Byrone Miller to announce August wedding


Marilyn Denise Urquhart and Byrone DeJuan Miller, both of Pine Bluff, Ark., will wed Aug. 18, 2012, 5 p.m. at Canaan Christian Center, 7890 Middle Warren Road, Pine Bluff, AR.

The bride is the daughter of Ruben Thompson of Worms, Germany, formerly of Pine Bluff and Patricia Urquhart of Pine Bluff. She is the granddaughter of John and Versie Thompson of Pine Bluff, the late Thomas and Ola Mae Urquhart Sr. of Pine Bluff. She is an EMS supervisor at Emergency Ambulance Service Inc. in Pine Bluff. She is a graduate from Watson Chapel High School. She earned her bachelor of science degree in criminal justice and minor in social work from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff. She received her master’s degree in education from University of Arkansas Fayetteville. She is currently pursuing a master’s in counseling from LeTourneau University. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

The groom is the son of Evelyn Brown of Pine Bluff and the late Clyde Miller Jr. of Pine Bluff. He is the grandson of the late Sylvester and Wilsey Harris of Pastoria, Ark., the late Clyde and Corrine Miller Sr. of Pastoria, Ark. He is a correctional sergeant at Arkansas Department of Correction Ouachita Unit in Malvern, Ark. He is a graduate of Dollarway High School. He is currently pursuing his associate degree in criminal justice at Southeast Arkansas College.

Family and friends are invited according to a family spokesman. Reception will be held immediately following the ceremony at Prince Hall Grand Lodge Masonic Temple (Old Lowe’s Building), 2906 E. Harding, Pine Bluff, Ark.
