Erica Kendrick and Joseph Byers to exchange wedding vows in April

MONTICELLO — Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kendrick of Grapevine and Ms. Kim Kendrick of Star City announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Erica Leigh Kendrick, to Joseph Martin Byers.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Kendrick of Dumas, and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Curry of Star City. She has a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and is employed as a technical specialist at Eagle Forestry Services/EFS GeoTechnologies in Monticello.

The prospective groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. William “Dubs” Byers of Gould. He is the grandson of Mrs. Marnell Knight and the late Mr. Carl Knight of Gould and the late Mr. and Mrs. Orie Byers of Hope. He has a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and an associate degree in welding from SEARK and is employed as a welding instructor at Riverside Vocational Technical School in Grady.

The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at First Baptist Church of Dumas. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
