Walter and Johnita Waddle celebrate 50 years of marriage


WHITE HALL — Walter S. “Ham” and Johnita Roberts Waddle are celebrating 50 years of marriage.

They were married Dec. 21, 1962, at Second Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Ark., by Brother George E. Pirtle. Ham retired as a firefighter from the Pine Bluff Arsenal. Johnita retired from the Watson Chapel School District as a third-grade teacher. They live in White Hall, Ark., and are members of Salem Missionary Baptist Church. They are parents of a son, Keith L. Waddle and his wife, Lori. They have three grandchildren, Jordan Waddle, Kacee and Logan Chapman.

Ham and Johnita will go on a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands in March 2013.
