Paul and Pat Sheffield celebrate 50 years of marriage

In celebration of their 50 years of marriage, Pat and Paul Sheffield of Pine Bluff, Ark., will be honored by their children at a reception on Saturday, March 9, from 2-4 p.m. at Watson Chapel Baptist Church. Friends and family are invited to attend.

On March 2, 1963, Paul Maynard Sheffield of White Hall exchanged vows with Patty Jean Dugger of Newark at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock.

After Paul’s service in the Air Force, the couple returned to Pine Bluff where Paul worked as both a brakeman and conductor on the Cotton Belt Railroad before retiring after 34 years. A retired art teacher, Pat has taught more than 4,000 children over her 18-year tenure at both Star City and Dollarway schools.

The couple has two children, David Sheffield of Little Rock and Robyn Sheffield Edwards (husband-Patrick) of Maumelle, as well as two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Stephen Edwards.
