Mr. and Mrs. Danny Mossburg are pleased to announce their daughter, Miranda Elizabeth Mossburg, and Brandon Shawn McHan were united in marriage Saturday June 2 at 6 p.m. at the restored historic home, The Laurel House in Pine Bluff. Rev. Richard Couch officiated, a very dear friend of the bride’s family.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory Oleg Cassini gown with delicately crafted floral details adorning the fitted lace bodice and the beaded empire waist which complimented the beading along the hemline of the flared tulle skirt with a chapel length train and a fingertip length veil. To keep with the antique theme, the bride carried a bouquet of fresh ivory hydrangeas, sonya roses, accented with baby’s breath and greenery and hand-tied with ivory satin ribbon and the brides’ great-grandmother’s hand sewn handkerchief. Her jewelry was a pearl necklace belonging to the bride’s aunt.
The maid of honor was Lauren Stephens of White Hall. The bridesmaids were Elena Yaugez and Sharonda Smarjesse, both from White Hall. The attendants wore strapless cocktail dresses of salmon chiffon with a satin sash tied at the waist. All three attendants are friends of the bride since grade school. The flower girl was Lilly McAfee, niece of the groom.
Jeff McHan, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Thor Shelby and J.D. Jones, both from Pine Bluff and friends of the groom. The ushers were Scott Mossburg of White Hall, brother of the bride, Kyle Plunkett of Jonesboro, cousin of the bride and Kyle Rawlinson of White Hall, friend of groom. Aiden McHan, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.
A reception was held after the ceremony in the Grand Ballroom of The Laurel House. Hors d’oeuvres were catered by Tina Strawn Keahey, aunt of the bride. Music provided by DJ and groom, Brandon McHan.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom’s family at Fiesta Mexicana in Pine Bluff.
