SPRINGDALE — Mr. and Mrs. David Bordovsky of Springdale are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Bryna Bess, to David
Burkemper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Burkemper of Derby, Kan.
The nuptial Mass took place at the historic St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Altus, Ark., on Saturday, June 9, 2012. The three o’clock ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Ravi Gudipalli, a close friend of the bride’s family.
The bride wore an ivory Oleg Cassini gown with a satin bodice adorned with beaded embroidery and custom trumpet sleeves, organza ball gown skirt with a chapel train, and a cathedral length veil. Bryna Bess carried a natural cascading bouquet containing soft green hydrangeas, light blue delphinium, dusty miller, curly willow, and a sentimental addition of trailing ivy from a garden the bride and her mother, Margie, planted when Bryna Bess was a young child.
The bride’s honor attendants included her sister, Mariah Bordovsky, as maid of honor, and Beth Schmitt as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Christina Burkemper, sister of the groom; Brandi Marciniak; Mackenzie Swigart; and Elizabeth Robertson. Sadie Pritchard, Evelyn Rivera, and Therese Marciniak served as flower attendants.
The groomsmen included Anthony Hock as best man; Michael Clinton; J.T. Ronnfeldt; Daniel Burkemper, brother of the groom; Ryan Coufal; and Will Lyons. Bobby Rivera served as ringbearer. Matthew Burkemper, brother of the groom, and Kyle Walsten served as ushers.
A dinner and dance reception was held at the parish’s St. Lawrence Hall.
Bryna Bess is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Sid Simpson, formerly of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bordovsky of Karnes City, Texas. David is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kalb of Lindale, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Orville Burkemper of St. Louis, Mo.
