Amy Davis weds Samuel Moore at Marlsgate Plantation at Scott

Miss Amy Denise Davis and Mr. Samuel Zachary Moore were united in marriage on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at two thirty in the afternoon at Marlsgate Plantation in Scott, Ark. The ceremony was officiated by Judge Mike Holcomb.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Mrs. Kathy Cooper on the harp. A ceremony reading was written and delivered by Mr. Charles Harrison, grandfather of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davis of Pine Bluff, Ark. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harrison of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Davis of Pine Bluff, Ark. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Moore of White Hall, Ark. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bill McCarty of White Hall, Ark., and Mrs. Mary Moore and the late Odell Moore of Pine Bluff, Ark.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an asymmetrical strapless gown of natural silk shantung by Mori Lee. Trimmed with flowers, feathers, crystals, and pearls, the gown featured a corset back which fell into a chapel length train, complemented by a custom handmade chapel length veil. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of Vendelia roses, antique ivory peonies, and orchids, accented with vintage crystal and pearl brooches.

Miss Elizabeth Crossett of Pine Bluff, Ark., cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. She wore a floor-length gown in black taffeta and carried a hand-tied bouquet of Vendelia roses, antique ivory peonies and orchids, accented with a vintage cameo brooch. The flower girl was Miss Libby Harrison of Pine Bluff, Ark., cousin of the bride.

Mr. Benjamin Moore of White Hall, Ark., brother of the groom, served as best man. The ring bearers were Mr. Aiden Davis and Mr. Riley Davis, of Pine Bluff, Ark., both nephews of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Watson Chapel High School in Pine Bluff, Ark., and is currently working toward a degree in deaf education. She is an employee of Pine Federal Credit Union in White Hall, Ark. The groom is a graduate of White Hall High School in White Hall, Ark., and is currently seeking a degree in electrical maintenance. He is employed by Evergreen Packaging in Pine Bluff, Ark.

Following a honeymoon in Hot Springs, Ark., Amy and Zach will reside in White Hall, Ark.
