Willard ‘Pap’ Evans to celebrate 100th birthday

A 100th birthday celebration and family reunion will be held in honor of Williard “Pap” Evans at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the new Highway 15 Fire Station, which is located on U.S. 63.

Evans was born April 23, 1912. He retired from Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel and enjoys going to the Martin Luther King Senior Citizens Center. He enjoys playing dominoes and spending time with his family, according to a family spokesman.

Evans has one son, Ray Evans, and his wife, Betty, of Itta Bena, Miss. His wife, Era Lucy Evans, and son, Sidney Evans, are deceased. He also has seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend.
