WCHS student wins Omega Psi Phi Talent Hunt competition

Billetta McLeod, a senior at Watson Chapel High School, was the winner of the Tau Phi/Tau Sigma, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Talent Hunt held recently in Pine Bluff.

As the local winner, McLeod competed in the Arkansas state chapters of Omega Talent Hunt held on the campus of Arkansas State University at Jonesboro. During the state Talent Hunt competition, McLeod performed a medley titled “Gone with the Wind” and received first place.

She will represent Arkansas at the 9th District meeting of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., to be held at the Peabody Hotel at Little Rock on April 5-7. The 9th District is made of fraternity chapters in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma.

As a student at WCHS, McLeod maintains a 3.1 grade point average. She is the daughter of Sheila McLeod.
