MONTICELLO — Tara Brennon-Hall, Britney Forrest and Leah Rabb of Monticello will present their senior art exhibits at the University of Arkansas at Monticello Thursday through May 1 in the Spencer Gallery of the Fine Arts Center.
An artists’ reception will be held from 12:45 to 2 p.m. Thursday.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
Brennon-Hall’s exhibition will include paintings and drawings of life after the body has decayed. The bigger pieces are “full of fun and ironic situations you would see in real life,” according to Tom Richard, professor of art. “The smaller pieces show the main theme of the show which wraps around the human skull and how colors and marks affect what you see.”
Forrest’s work tells of her interests through a set of eclectic pieces, focusing on candid moments, brought to life through hands at work, rest and play.
Rabb titles her exhibition “Abstractions” and uses bright colors to show space, and lines to show movement in space.
