Pine Bluff Musical Coterie awards scholarships to local students


The Pine Bluff Musical Coterie recently concluded its season at Summit Baptist Church by auditioning four local students for scholarships.

Scholarship awards were given to:

• Morgan Aldridge, a graduate of White Hall High School. She will attend the University of Arkansas.

• Brandon Thomas, a graduate of Pine Bluff High School. He will attend Arkansas State University.

• Robin Campbell, a graduate of Pine Bluff High School. She will attend Arkansas State University.

• Katie Ferren, home-schooled. She will attend Arkansas Tech University.

During the business meeting, it was announced that the Coterie would sponsor the community patriotic concert, along with the Community Band, which was held Monday.

After the business meeting, the Rev. Paul R. Huenefeld Jr., presented a repertoire of his compositions.

A potluck supper was enjoyed by all in attendance.
