The Hannah Sunday School Class from First Baptist Church meets once monthly for fellowship, food and fun. Recently they met at China Rose Restaurant, 4012 Old Warren Road.
China Rose specializes in Mandarin and Cantonese cuisine. Those enjoying the ambiance of China Rose Restaurant were social planner, Jeanette McGrew, Ruth Bryant, Barbara Cook, Imogene Crowder, Peggy Koen, Berna Dean Mays, Sissie McClanahan, Liz Newbell, Myra and Topper Twitchell, and Libby Williams.
The Easter luncheon was held at the Touch of Elegance located at 3015 W. 28th Ave., in the Regency Square. Touch of Elegance has an extensive menu consisting of sandwiches (chicken or tuna salad croissant, chicken bacon ranch, turkey bacon parmesan, club and ham or turkey hoagie), grill items (cheeseburger, Bubba’s burger, and grilled chicken sandwich), salads (grilled chicken salad, chef salad, supreme salad, and garden salad), spuds (chicken bacon ranch potato, loaded baked potato, chili cheese potato, and plan baked potato) and a plate lunch that varies each day.
On the day of the church visit, the special was lasagna with two vegetables and a roll. There is an array of desserts. The church group enjoyed coconut and chocolate pie. Everything is prepared fresh daily, using only the finest ingredients to ensure that the made-from-scratch recipes leave you wanting more. Those making the trip to Touch of Elegance included McGrew, Ann Adair, Audrey Borecky, Bryant, Helen Campbell, Cook, Crowder, DeDe Foster, Koen, Mays and McClanahan.
