DAR chapter to observe National Day of Prayer at First Baptist Church

The Pine Bluff Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will meet to commemorate the 2012 National Day of Prayer at 10 a.m. Thursday in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church, 6501 Hazel St.

The chapter chaplain, Kar Lynn Roberts, will lead chapter members, using scriptures, quotations and prayers emphasizing the blessings of freedom that Americans have experienced from the time the country was founded.

The public is invited to attend and share in praying for the nation and the leaders, the president, the Supreme Court justices, the legislative and executive branches, for a better economy, for decisions in national crisis, harmony among the races, national protection, and good public relations.

Sue Smith is serving as the 2012 Pine Bluff chapter regent.
