DUMAS — Julius and Mildred Logan Carter of Dumas will observe their 50th wedding anniversary today.

They were married July 8, 1962, at Pine Bluff. Julius pastors Calvary Baptist Church at Dumas. They have three sons, Paul of Frierson, La., David of Dumas and Steven of Benton; and nine grandchildren.

The family will celebrate at a restaurant on a later date.
