David and Glenda Payton to celebrate 50th anniversary with reception

WHITE HALL — David and Glenda Peyton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 2, with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m., held at the Masonic Lodge, located at 4701 Dollarway Road, Pine Bluff.

They were married June 1, 1962.

Glenda is the former Glenda Cox, a graduate of Dollarway High School. She taught elementary music at Wilson/Western Hills Elementary in Little Rock School District and Moody/Redfield Elementary in White Hall School District, was principal at Thornton Elementary and Wabbaseka Elementary, and retired from the Arkansas Department of Education as a federal programs coordinator in January 2005. David is retired from the Union Pacific (Cotton Belt) Railroad after 40 years. They are the parents of David W. Peyton and Renee Perry of White Hall. The couple has three grandchildren.
