Thankful on 75th anniversary

Editor, The Commercial:

When our children and grandchildren announced that they were giving us a 75th wedding anniversary program, people came from across the country just to be a part and share in our celebration.

Those that could not make it sent cards, letters and flowers, baskets of fruit and words of encouragement. It is true that we hear so much bad news in our city, so we would like to take the time to try and thank God and everyone that contributed in blessing our program and making that day one of the happiest, joyous days of our lives.

We thank you for every word spoken, every song that was sung and for all of the love that you extended to us. To Mayor Debe Hollingsworth and the City of Pine Bluff officials, Mrs. Bessie Lancelin and the Pine Bluff Women’s Choir, County Judge Dutch King, Mayor Noel Foster and the City of White Hall officials, Rev. Donald Agee and the New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Gabriel Jackson and the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church Choir and family, 102-year-old Bro. Horace Walters and family, 99-year-old Rev. Joel Kelly Davis, Bro. Steven Howard and all of our friends and family, we say thank you.

We are humbled and grateful from the depths of our souls for everyone who took part in His heavenly program. Thank you.
