Editor, The Commercial:
Saturday, Oct. 26, is “Make a Difference Day” nationally. I am suggesting that it be called “Make A Difference Day in Pine Bluff.”
Following are some ways that you can make a difference as a citizen in Pine Bluff. Things like picking up trash on your street or at a park, cleaning a school yard, taking old newspapers to the animal shelter or taking a can of food to a shelter.
You could organize a neighborhood watch group, make a repair for an elderly neighbor (example — change a light bulb that is up high), take food to a shut-in, offer to take an elderly person to the doctor, or take magazines to a nursing home.
