Citizens should get more involved with city

Editor, The Commercial:

As our elected officials get further and further from truly representing the will of the people, it has become clearly necessary for the people to take the necessary action to rectify the situation. I say, “Throw the Bums Out!”

Too much blood, sweat and tears have been shed by our fathers and forefathers, women and children, blacks and whites to allow this maleficence to continue.

Our duty as citizens of what could be a wonderful city and community mandates that we not allow the self-centered acts of anyone, especially those that we elected, to continue to misrepresent us and our interest.

Citizens, I implore you to get interested in your city and your neighborhoods and to become more pro-active in how our elected officials are misrepresenting the will of the people!

Fool me once; shame on you; fool me twice; shame on me; fool me three times shame on ALL of US.
