George Gibbins

George Edward “Eddie” Gibbins, 63 of Pine Bluff, died Sunday at his home. He was born October 28, 1950 in England, Ark. to the late George L. and Juanita Houser Gibbins. He served in the Vietnam War with the United States Marine Corps and served in the Naval Reserve. He was a member of Lawrence Hunting Club and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also loved to fish, hunt, gardening, flowers and bird watching.

Maxine Horne

Maxine McDaniel Horne, 88, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, September 22, 2014. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.

Kristen Johnson

Kristen Carter Johnson, age 23, of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, September 21, 2014. Born April 12, 1991 at Little Rock, she was the daughter of Rachel Harper Carter. She was a in the graduating class of 2009 at Watson Chapel High School and a member of the Hazel Street Church of Christ.

Nellie Nelson

Mrs. Nellie Ruth Nelson, 73, of Pine Bluff passed Wednesday, September 17, 2014. She was born in Spearsville, La. to the late William Smith and Sallie (Clark) Charles. Her survivors include: husband, James L. Nelson, sons, James Wendell Nelson both of Pine Bluff, Shannon Darwin Nelson of Carson, Calif., daughter, Eartha Norwood of Pine Bluff; brother, James Smith of Pomona, Calif.; sister, Betty Morris of Farmersville, La.; Nine Grandchildren.

James Walton

James Milton Walton of Pine Bluff died Friday, September 19, 2014. He was born August 16, 1922 in Pine Bluff. He was the son of the late George and Leota Callicott Walton. He graduated from high school and Business College in Tyler, Texas, went to work for Cotton Belt Railroad at age 17 and retired as Assistant Superintendent in 1982 after 42 years of service. He served in World War II as a fighter pilot in England, France, Belgium and Germany and was discharged in October 1945.

Iva Neathery

TEXARKANA - Mrs. Iva Worthen Neathery, age 84, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Monday, September 22, 2014, at her residence. Mrs. Neathery was born March 5, 1930, at Cedar Branch, Arkansas, daughter of Garland and Barbara Worthen. She was a Baptist and was employed at Honest Charlie’s Trading Post for fifty-five years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mason (Junior) Neathery, one son, Jimmy Don Vinci, one sister, Odie Paul of Texarkana, and two brothers, Hubert Worthen of Pine Bluff, Ark. and William Worthen of California.

Ruby McClendon

GOULD - Ruby Jean McClendon, 75, of Gould, Ark., passed August 31, 2014. Born October 20, 1938 in Fresno, Ark., to Frank Victor Darrough, Sr., and Susie Marie Watkins.

Mr. Edward Limuel

Mr. Edward Silvino Limuel, 43, of Pine Bluff, passed Friday, August 29, 2014. He was born to Eugene Limuel, Jr. and Ella M. (Small) Bullock both of Pine Bluff. His survivors include, wife, Kateshia S. (Marshall) Limuel, son, Tevin Limuel and daughter, Chanieka Limuel all of Pine Bluff; sister, Christie McDonald of Omaha, Nebraska. His services will be 10a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2014 at First Baptist Church by Reverend Willie A. Rogers, Jr. Interment will be in St. Mark Cemetery-Sherrill by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff. His body will lie in-state at 9:15a.m. until the time of service. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7p at Brown Funeral Home.

Alice Pridgeon

Alice J. Pridgeon, 70, of Pine Bluff passed September 2, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born May 26, 1944 in Sherrill, Ark. to the late Jesse and Trannie Evans.
