MILWAUKEE, WIS. - Mrs. Mae Helen Fells-Dodds, 60, of Milwaukee, Wis. formerly of Dumas, Ark. passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 in Milwaukee. Born August 29, 1955 in Dumas, she was a daughter of the late Jimmy and Mollie Rochell-Fells. She was a member of Free Gift M.B.C. in Dumas serving on the Usher Board, and a home maker. Survivors include one son, Brian Dodds of St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Schwanda Hawkins of Milwaukee, Wis. and Shanetric Dodds of Ft. Worth, Texas; six brothers, Fred Fells of Milwaukee, Wis., James Fells, Levell Fells both of Pine Bluff, Ark., Leonard Fells of Topeka, Kan., Tommy Fells of Murfreesboro, Tenn., James Edwards of Houston, Texas; six sisters, Joann Daniels of Monticello, Ark., Jannett Lewis of Star City, Ark., Marsha Huskey of Texarkana, Texas, Angela Kelly of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Shawn Fells of Conway, Ark., Jenifer Green of Richardson, Texas; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Free Gift M.B.C. in Dumas with Rev. Kenneth F. Smith, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Free Gift Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Dumas

RISON — John Barnett Stewart, age 54, of Rison, died February 3, 2016. Survivors include his daughters, Chelsey Stewart of Jacksonville, Cassey Stewart of Sheridan; mother, Juanice Stewart of Rison; brothers, Rodger Stewart of Woodlawn, Gary Stewart of Rowell, Bobby Stewart of Winchester, Ky., Ricky Stewart Jr. of Woodlawn and sisters, Peggy King, Becky McClain, Debbie McClain and Sherry Hoover, all of Rison.
NEWCASTLE — Sue Capps Meador was born to Simon and Irene Cook Capps in Newcastle, Ark. on January 31, 1930. She grew up in Heth, Ark. where her parents farmed and also owned a general store. At an early age, Sue loved helping her dad farm and continued her love of farming throughout her life. During the 1937 flood, she developed hepatitis. Her parents were forced to take her by boat to the nearest train stop that wasn’t flooded. From there they proceeded by train to Memphis, Tenn. and on to Methodist hospital.
GRAVETTE — Marjorie May Stewart, age 82, of Gravette, passed away February 2, 2016. Marjorie was born March 2, 1933 in Dodge City, Kan. to parents Arthur and Geraldine Edwards. She was united in marriage to Joseph Stewart on March 31, 1961 in Hot Springs, Ark. and they enjoyed over 52 years of marriage. Marjorie taught elementary school for 35 years in Southern Arkansas. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Gravette and formerly the Forrest Park Assembly in Pine Bluff and the First Assembly of Pine Bluff. Marjorie taught Sunday School also and was active with the Missionettes. Marjorie was also a member of the American Business Women’s Association. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and also quilting, sewing, yard work and bird watching. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Joe in 2013; her parents, brother, Lloyd Edwards and sister in law, Janine Edwards. She is survived by her sons, Jeff Stewart of Coal Hill, Ark. and Joe Stewart and wife, Malinda of Pea Ridge; one brother, Duane Edwards and wife Linda of Maumelle; two sisters, Corine Peck and husband Lee of Tulsa and Evelyn Clem and husband Charles of Hot Springs; sister in law, Melva Edwards of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Dylan, Eli, Sara Beth, Jonas and Seth and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and former students. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Circle of Life Hospice or the Gideons. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2016 at the First Assembly of God Church in Gravette. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 W. Walnut, Rogers.
GRADY — Mrs. Earnestine Scarver -Muldrow, 65, of Grady, Ark. died January 21, 2016. She was born to the Late Bennie Scarver, Sr and Rosie Lee Scarver.
Mr. Willie B. Wilson Sr. known as “Fawdy”, 85, of Pine Bluff passed away January 30, 2016. He was born on August 9, 1930 to the late John Wilson and late LeAnna Joiner in Dublin, Miss. He leaves to cherish his memories wife, Roberta Johnson Wilson; children, Willie B. Wilson, Jr., Robert Wilson, James Wilson, Randy Wilson, LaVerne Wilson, Linda Wilson, Bettie Wilson, Lillie Wilson, Joyce Wilson, Alisa Wilson, and Jacquelyn Wilson all of Pine Bluff; a sister, Lee Bernice Gist of Detroit, Mich., and a host of other relatives.
Ms. Rose Mary Wilson, 71, of Pine Bluff passed January 31, 2016. She was born in Marks, MS to the late R.C. Page and Connie Barnes Wilson.
Mrs. Billie Joyce Webb, 61, of Pine Bluff passed January 31, 2016. She was born in Little Rock, Ark. to James H. Smith, Sr. of Akron, Ohio and the late Gladys McLemore Hicks. She leave to cherish memories to one daughter, six brothers, six sisters and one grandchild.
Martha R. Meekins, of Pine Bluff, Ark., a retired librarian, died on January 28, 2016. She was born in Rison, Ark. She was the last of 13 children, born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. and Nellie Johnson Meekins. She graduated from the Rison “Colored” High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and a Masters of Arts degree in Library Science from Atlanta University in Atlanta, Ga., and a six year certificate in Library Science from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
Mr. Grady Mathews, 82, of Pine Bluff passed away on January 27, 2016 at JRMC. He was born February 28, 1933 to the Late Johnnie Mathews and the Late Jennie Mae Davis in Rison Ark.
