LITTLE ROCK - Lori Elizabeth Fish Heiderscheidt, 41, of Little Rock passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She was born October 6, 1973, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Curtis Ray and Becky Kay McGhee Fish. Lori was a member of the First Baptist Church in Star City, and a 1992 graduate of Star City High School. In 1996 she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a degree in Computer Information Systems. She was a Solutions Developer for Axciom. Lori loved to nurture her family, cooking, all things Elvis and she was a gifted pianist.

TILLAR - Rosie Marie Hunt, 40, of Tillar, Ark. passed February 21, 2015. Born September 5, 1974 to Rosie Lee Hunt and the late Leotha Baker. Survivors include; her mother, Rosie Lee Hunt, one son, four daughters, one brother, and three sisters.

DUMAS - Mrs. Dorothy Mosby, 91 of Dumas died Monday, February 8, 2015 at Delta Memorial Hospital in Dumas. She was born January 2, 1924 to the late Frank and Lue Ella Stocker.

EUDORA - Mr. Mark Gayfield, 57 of Eudora, Arkansas passed Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Arrangements will be announced by Brown Funeral Home of Dumas.

GARRETT BRIDGE - Sam Odis Smith, 71 of Garrett Bridge (Lincoln County) died Tuesday. He was born October 19, 1943 in Desha County to the late Clay King, Jr. and Tommie Carter Smith.

Kenneth Taylor

SHERIDAN - Kenneth Ray Taylor,83, of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 26, 1931 at Watson, Arkansas, the son of the late William Earl and Claudie Bell Veazey Taylor. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, during which time, he served for over 2 years in Korea. He was an active member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and was retired from his Alternator/Generator repair business. He had served on the Civil Defense, the Civil Air Patrol, as well as a Deputy Sheriff in Jefferson County. He was one of the founders of the Grant County Rescue and served as Assistant Chief of the Sheridan Fire Department for 13 yrs.

Robert Hardy

WARREN - On February 12, 2015, Robert Oxford Hardy, age 90, of Warren, Ark. passed away peacefully at his home with family and friends present. Robert was born in Fitzgerald, Ga., on December 23, 1924 to Charlotte Oxford and Calvin Augustus Hardy. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1941 and served during WWII in North Africa and the Pacific theaters. After 10 years of naval service, he transferred to the U.S. Air Force where he served all over the world for 23 additional years as a nuclear weapons specialist achieving the top rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Following his service, he retired to a love of farming in Warren, Ark., to honor his wife’s years of support by moving closer to her family. As an avid student of history, he obtained his teaching certification from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and taught history at Warren High School for 10 years. Following the death of his wife in 1996, his last great passion became the rescue of community dogs and support of the local humane society, helping to raise $30,000 and plan a future no kill shelter. He was a devout Christian and member of Hampton Primitive Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife Audrey (Jo) Hobgood, Brother Calvin, and survived by his twin sister Barbara Pierce and three sons, Bob, Richard and Cullen; 9 grandchildren. Memorial services 4:00 pm Saturday, February 14, at Frazer’s Chapel. Visitation 3:00 pm until service time at Frazer’s.
