WARREN - Byron Gale Black, age 79, of Warren, Ark. died Wednesday August 20, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. Born November 5, 1934 in Fulton, Ind., a son of the late Archie Gale Black and Laura Fern Beattie Black he was a retired dairy farmer, a Methodist and a U.S. Army veteran.

BEDFORD, TEXAS - Eric John Rose, age 35, of Bedford, Texas, formerly of Hermitage, Ark., died SUnday, August 17, 2014 in Irving, Texas. He was born July 17, 1979 in ElDorado, Ark., a son of Teresea Trussell Rose Morgan of Bedford, Texas and Dwaine Everett Rose of Willis, Texas. He was a graduate of Trinity High School, Euless Texas, a landscape artist, a motivational speaker and a Christian. Other than his parents, he is survived by his step, Roy David Morgan of Bedford, Texas; three brothers, Jarrod Dwaine Rose of Bedford, Texas, Staff Sergeant Mikael Lee Rose of Whittlesey, United Kingdom, and Adam Joseph Rose of Pasadena, Texas; along with many loving nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

PRAIRIE GROVE- Charles Kenneth Bowden, age 78 of the Prairie Grove community, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 at his home. Survivors include his wife, Cavie Joiner Bowden of Prairie Grove Community; two daughters, Angie Sowell of Prairie Grove Community and Amy Bowden of Hamburg; one brother, Clifford Bowden of Goose Hollow; two sisters, Geneva Clampit and Ruth Ferguson both of Monticello; five grandchildren, one great-grandson; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Her survivors include, Husband, Thornton Callum, Sr. of Pine Bluff; Sons, Thornton Callum, Jr., Darryl Keith Callum, Joseph Charles Callum all of Chicago, Illinois; Daughters, Carolyn Jean Bowman of Pine Bluff, Demetrius Callum of Lubbock, Texas, Cynthia Trenetta Johnson of Desoto, Texas; Brothers, Don Adams of Chicago, Illinois, Lemuel Adams of Louisville, Kentucky, Lavern Adams of Dumas; Sisters, Mildred Jones, Katherine Jones, Helen Staples all of Chicago, Illinois, Beatrice Jones of Dumas, Pearl Freeman of Chicago, Illinois; 24 Grandchildren; 29 Great- Grandchildren.

Arland Chandler

DARDANELLE - Arland Dale Chandler age 76 of Dardanelle died Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Conway Regional Medical Center. He was born January 28, 1938 at Jefferson County, Arkansas to the late Lawrence and Mildred Baugh Chandler. He graduated from Arkansas State Teacher’s College in 1964 with a degree in mathematics. He was a past member of the Yell County Wildlife Federation and Dardanelle Chamber of Commerce. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wendell Chandler.

MONTICELLO - Erma Best Phillips “Grandgirl”, age 91 of Monticello, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Baptist Health Hospital in Little Rock. She was born May 22, 1923 in Newport, Ark. to the late Burton Best and Bonnie McKa Best.

Eulogy will be by Chaplain Bruce Cunningham, Patty the youngest of six siblings was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and trusted friend to many… She went to be with the heavenly Father on July 19, 2014 after a long term illness. She was born in Warren, Ark. on June 09, 1942 to Archie L. Brown, Sr. and Maude Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Dwight Wayne Bactad, her sister Martha Hayes and brother Archie Brown, Jr. She is survived by her husband Dr. Leonard Wilson-Banks, II; her daughter Sophia Chesser, sisters Bernice Johnson, Mary Copeland, Betty Nichols, Grandson Michael Dwight Chesser, and a host of step-children, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and Friends. Patty was a tireless Servant of the Gospel ministry to the very end of her life. Patty served as the Chairman of The Gospel Light Ministries Intercessors since 1992. She was ordained and Commissioned as an Evangelist with The United Evangelical Fellowship Ministries in 1990. She co-founded the Gospel Light Ministries and the Gospel Light Hour radio broadcast ( KPRO Radio, Riverside, California) in 1997. Patty co-hosted a one-hour per week live broadcast from 1997-2000. She was the Gospel Light Chapel (Youth Training School, Chino, California) Volunteer Co-ordinator. Patty was the Director of Manna Home, a Christian residential Home for Women and Children at Santa Rosa, California prior to relocating to Southern California and Ark.,God has sustained Her through many trying times..
