Wyama Agnes Shipman Via, 77, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, October 24, 2013.
She was born August 28, 1936 in Wilmar, daughter of Edward Shipman and Geneva Hendon Shipman Haggard.
Mrs. Via worked as a cook for Jefferson Regional Medical Center for many years. She was a member of River Road Church of God in Redfield. Mrs. Via enjoyed cooking, reading, babysitting and going to rummage sales.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Via; daughter, Linda Via; her parents; two brothers, Carroll Shipman and Edward Shipman; and three sisters, Martha Reed, Edna Hardin and Verna Prince.
Survivors include three sons, Tony (Mary) Via of Redfield, Larry (Sandra) Via of Grapevine and Donnie (Nancy) Via of Redfield; two daughters, Kathryn Collette of Siloam Springs and Rita Moseley of Pine Bluff; brother, James Shipman of Star City; sister, Joann Green of Centerton, Ark.; ten grandchildren, April Grinstead, Jason Owens, Keith Collette, B.J. Collette, Josie Dowdy, Jamie Kay Collette, Angela Moseley, Donovan Via, Tyler Via and Logan Via; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend John Threat officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Robinson’s.
