Willie Murrell


In profound sorrow the professional and courteous staff of

the Christian Way Funeral Home sorrowfully announces the earthly departure of Mrs. Willie B. Murrell 82 of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Ms. Murrell answered to her name on August 25, 2014 and said “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith, now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness, which the lord the righteous Judge shall give me at that day.”

Ms. Murrell’s journey began on May 31, 1932 to the late Willie Lee Chedister and O.D. Summners.

She was employed by Rosswood Country Club as a Chef.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband- Lee Andrew Murrell Sr. Daughters – Lorine Williamson, Joyce Williamson, Bennie J. Williamson, Doris Golden, Brendetta Murrell, Rita Murrell and Shelia Murrell. Sons – Billy Williamson and Lee Murrell Jr. Brothers – Cleo Chedister, Eddie Chedister and Prentice Chedister. 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 2:30pm on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at New Community Baptist Church with Pastor Leon Williams Officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens by Christian Way Funeral Home. Visitation will be today from

6:00pm-7:30pm at True Vine E. Missionary Baptist Church 1001 West 2nd Street Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

The family will be at 1011 West 24th Street Pine Bluff, Arkansas
