KENTUCKY — Rose Ellen Oliver Flowers, 94, of Scottsville, Ky., died Friday, February 7, 2014 at Colonial Center in Bowling Green, Ky. The Scottsville, Ky., native was a retired employee of the Allen County Board of Education, a member of Clifton General Baptist Church and Meador Homemakers.
She was a daughter of the late James Ewing Oliver and Patsy Ann Moody Oliver and wife of the late Charlie Herman Flowers.
She is survived by son son: Mike Flowers, Bowling Green, Ky.; four daughters: Judy Burgess and husband, Rodney, Austin, KY; Sandra Meador and husband, Gordon, Scottsville, Ky.: Pam Sarver and husband, Danny, Adolphus, Ky.; Faye West and husband, Feral, Pine Bluff, Ark.; 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters: Goldean Raney and Reba Jean Petersen; one brother: Lewie Oliver and six sisters: Ocie Sears, Oval Sledge, Dollie Mash, Addie Nichols, Katy Cornwell and Velda Hinton Willoughby.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Feral West officiating and burial in Clifton Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 noon Saturday at Goad Funeral Home.
