Anna Warrior

Mother Anna Brown Warrior,86, of Pine Bluff, was the second child born to the late Eulis & Beatrice (Scott) Brown. She was born September 30, 1927 in Haynes, Ark. She later moved to Pine Bluff, she married the late Evan Warrior. Nine children were born. Mother Anna B. Warrior walked, talked and sang about the goodness of the Lord. One of her accomplishments that was important to her was getting her GED with raising her children in future education enrolled at UAPB.

Marshall Dunmore

DUMAS — Mr. Marshall Dunmore, 55 of Dumas, Ark., died Friday, April 11, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Ark. He was born October 12, 1958 to the late Willie Dunmore and Versia Crosby Dunmore in Dumas, Ark.

MCKINNY, Texas — Sharon Brown 51, formerly of Kelso, Ark. died April 2, 2014 in McKinny, Texas. She was born July 13, 1962 to the late Cleo Bentley and Beatrice Johnson.

PLANO, TEXAS — Andrew M. Jackson, 85, formerly of Pine Bluff died April 7, 2014 in Plano, Texas. He was born March 24, 1929 in Pine Bluff to the late Elder and Rebecca Jackson.

Sybil Lee

STATESBORO, GA. — Mrs. Sybil R. Lee, age 77, died on Saturday April 5, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. The Pine bluff, Ark. native was a 1957 graduate of Conway Arkansas State and received her Master’s Degree in 1959 from LSU. She moved to Bulloch County in 1970. She retired from Brooklet Elementary as librarian after 21 years of service. Mrs. Lee was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Lee.

Billy Hartness

MONTICELLO — Billy H. Hartness, age 82 years, died on April 9, 2014. Billy was born March 7, 1932, in Cominto, Arkansas. He graduated from Monticello High School where he was an All-State football player, and went on to attend Ark. A & M (now UAM) before graduating from Northeast Louisiana University (now ULM) where he played football. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the end of the Korean Conflict, and was a 32nd Degree Mason.

GRAPEVINE — Mrs. Hattie Mays Allen, 86, of Grapevine, Ark. passed away on April 6, 2014. She was born June 6, 1927 to the late Bertha Woods and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Eichelberger Mays.

DUMAS — Freddie Lee Evans, 72 of Dumas, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Delta Memorial Hospital in Dumas. He was born February 18, 1942 to the late Eddie and Lillian Tate Evans in Watson, Ark.

DUMAS — Jewel (Dude) Smith Conrad, 85 of Dumas, passed away peacefully April 8, 2014 in Cabot. She was born August 28, 1928 at Magazine, Ark. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Dumas and served in the Choir, WMC and Women’s Missionary Class; she was Choir member of year 1992. And she was former employee of Sunbeam and homemaker.
