DUMAS — Thomas Hawkins, 84 of Dumas, died April 21, 2014. He was born December 21, 1929 in Bluffton, Ark., member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, former employee of Vickers Chevrolet and R.A. Pickens.

Bettie Hoover

WOODLAWN — Bettie Hoover, age 74, of Woodlawn went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 21, 2014 in Little Rock. She was born August 28, 1939 in Monticello, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Vance Carter and Lillie Tucker Carter. Mrs. Hoover was a faithful member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. She also was a respected teacher at the Woodlawn School District for forty years and was passionate about providing a quality education to so all her students. Mrs. Hoover was member of the Retired Teachers Association. She loved her family and friends dearly.

William White

William “Bill” White, Jr., 66, of Pine Bluff, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014. Arrangements will be announced by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.

Juanita North

BREWER COMMUNITY — Juanita North, 90, a lifelong resident of Brewer Community in Arkansas County died Monday. She was a member of the Assembly of God faith and attended Stuttgart First Assembly. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Olen North; sons, Russell North and Jerry North; and nine siblings. Survivors are daughter, Norma Kay Lewis (Randal) of Pine Bluff; daughters-in-law, Brenda North and Patricia North of Stuttgart; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart. Celebration services are 10 a.m. Friday at Stuttgart First Assembly with burial in Williams Cemetery. www.turpinco.com

Mary Carrington

WHITE HALL —Mary Sue Daniel Carrington, 92, a longtime resident of White Hall, Ark., passed away on April 19, 2014, after a lengthy illness, at home with her family in Rowlett, Texas. She was born January 01, 1922, in Bluffton, Ark. (Yell County) to the late Ben E. and Ada Aikman Daniel. Sue was a member of First Baptist Church of White Hall and a 50 year member of Union #40 of the Order of Eastern Star.

Anna Warrior

Mother Anna Brown Warrior,86, of Pine Bluff, was the second child born to the late Eulis & Beatrice (Scott) Brown. She was born September 30, 1927 in Haynes, Ark. She later moved to Pine Bluff, she married the late Evan Warrior. Nine children were born. Mother Anna B. Warrior walked, talked and sang about the goodness of the Lord. One of her accomplishments that was important to her was getting her GED with raising her children in future education enrolled at UAPB.

Marshall Dunmore

DUMAS — Mr. Marshall Dunmore, 55 of Dumas, Ark., died Friday, April 11, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Ark. He was born October 12, 1958 to the late Willie Dunmore and Versia Crosby Dunmore in Dumas, Ark.

Mable Hankins

STAR CITY — Mable Furniss Hankins age 95 of Star City, formerly of Monticello passed away Thursday at JRMC in Pine Bluff. She was born April 27, 1918 in Mississippi to the late Charlie Furniss and Rosie Lee Kizer Furniss.

WHITE HALL — Cozetta M. Reams, 80, of White Hall, died April 12, 2014 at her home. Born April 15, 1933 in Altheimer to the late James and Ogree Fennessee White.

WILMAR — Mr. Cedrick Lamont Gold, 31, of Wilmar passed Friday, April 11, 2014. He was born in Little Rock to Legolia Gold, Sr. and Shirley Ann (Dunlap) Burton.
