DUMAS - Funeral services for Ernest L. Scruggs 58, of Dumas, Ark., passed October 22, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center will be held Saturday 1:30 p.m., Pleasant Grove Church in Grady, Ark., Rev. Johnny L. Williams pastor. He was born June 24, 1956 in Grady, Ark., son of the late Cammie Scruggs and Jessie Gates. He accepted Christ at an early age at Pleasant Grove MBC in Grady, Ark. He graduated from Grady High School in Dumas where he was known as the fastest in football and track. He worked mostley various jobs in and around Grady, Ark.

Funeral services for Mary L. Hunter Walker, 56, of Pine Bluff, passed Sunday Oct. 26, at her home will be held Saturday 10 a.m. Living Word Baptist Church 5617 Sulphur Springs Rd. Pine Bluff, Rev. Alvin C. Lowe pastor.

Winfrey Gresham

Winfrey Sue Gresham, 67, of Pine Bluff passed away peacefully in her home on October 29, 2014. She was born to the late Harold and Margaret Whitehead on October 2, 1947. She is preceded i death by daughter Cheri Snyder, brother Bill Whitehead and sister Connie Whitehead. Survivors include husband Bob Gresham, son Robert Barbarotto Jr., daughters Stacy Allen and Kimberly Barbarotto, brother Johnny Whitehead, sister Rebecca Gross and Judy Vallance, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Betty Jean Frazier, 76, of Pine Bluff died October 21, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born January 14, 1938 in Wabbaseka to the late, Zelia M. and Rosie Lee Motem Murphy.

Annie Mae Frazier “Rockin Annie” was born February 25, 1925 in Yorktown, Arkansas to Tommy Cheatom and Lizzie Cobb. She transitioned from this life on October 22, 2014. She was proceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Frank T. Williams, Jr., 60, of Pine Bluff died October 10, 2014. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, March 1, 1954, the son of Frank Thomas Williams and the late Flora Mae Bunn Williams of Magnolia, Arkansas, Frank grew up in Magnolia, graduating from high school in 1972. He attended Southern State College and graduated from the UAMS Pharmacy School.

Mrs. Lenee “Geneva” Carter Wesley, 77 of Pine Bluff passed Saturday, October 18, 2014. She was born in Wabbaseka, Ark. to the late Jimmie Roy Carter and Annie Mae (Culclager) Horton.

Mr. Antonio “Lil Tony” Hart Sr 27, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014. He was born on November 07, 1986 to William Hart Jr and Sheila Lowden- Smith. Survivors include his sons; Antonio Hart and Za’Vion Hart. Parents; Sheila (Ricky) Smith, William (Cynthia) Hart Jr. and Jerry Lowden Jr. Brothers – Latwan Darrough, Brandon Lowden, Jarren Lowden, Deshaun Turner and Orlando Hart. Sisters- Brittany Lowden, Jereka Lowden, Jermeika Stokes, Shareka Hart, Ariel Nash, Ashley Hart, Kayla Hart and Brooke Hart. Step Brother- Leroy White III. Step- Sisters – Kianna Smith, Cesley Smith and Bria Compton. Grandparents- Geraldine Darrough – Womack, Velma Burns, Melvin Sanders Sr, Annie Mae Coleman and Jerry Lowden Sr. Great-Grandmother – Jessie Mae Thompson.

Luvenia Adams

Ms. Adams answered to her name on October 19, 2014 and said “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith, now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness, which the lord the righteous Judge shall give me at that day.” Ms. Adams was born July 25,1926 in Jefferson County, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Eddie James Brooks Sr and Agnes Elizabeth Brooks. She spent most of her life in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and retired from the Pine Bluff School District. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and became a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life, she joined Smith Chapel Baptist Church where she was a faithful member for over fifty years.
