Bobby Reed

SHERIDAN - Truly an extraordinary life story reflecting the grit and strength of a great generation in rural Arkansas, Bobby Gene Reed of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 21, 1935 at Rowell, Arkansas, the son of the late Garvin Huston Reed and Effie Elizabeth Roberts Reed. Born on a farm as a sharecropper’s son, he raised a great family and retired ultimately as president of the local railroad union. He was a member of Wesley Methodist Church in Pine Bluff, where he and his wife lived for over 50 years before moving to Sheridan. He was a locomotive engineer with Union Pacific for 42 years, and was an active member of the Railroad Union, having served as union president for five years.

Bobby Allen

MONTICELLO - Bobby Gene Allen, age 75 of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born on March 5, 1939 in Drew County to the late Thomas Lee and Linnie Marie Calhoun Allen. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dois Willis.

LAKE VILLAGE - Clint Burton, 30 of Lake Village, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 in Knoxville, Tenn. He was born December 14, 1983 in Lake Village to Sheryl Kay Ross Burton and the late, Larry Burton.

Adam Humphrey, Sr.

HUMPHREY - Mr. Adam Charles Humphrey, Sr., 68, of Pine Bluff passed Saturday, December 13, 2014. He was born in Sheridan, Ark. to the late Charlie Humphrey and Selina (Bennett) Watson.

Frances Moore

GRAPEVINE - Frances Elvina Reynolds Hudson Moore, 81, of Grapevine, died Wednesday, December 17th. Survivors, husband, Loy Moore; sons, Howard Wayne Hudson (Mary Kay) and Wallace A. “Buddy” Hudson (Pam); daughters, Rebecca Ann Crouch (John), Mary Harris (Dennis), Brenda Alexander (Lloyd), and Pat Whitehead (Demus); brother, Charles Reynolds; sister, Betty Vailes; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services are 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20th at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Burial will follow at Davis Cemetery in Grapevine. ENGLAND - Mr. Larry Gibson Sr. 60, of England passed away December 15, 2014 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born July 22, 1954 to the late Tommie Gibson and Georgia Gibson in Tucker, Arkansas.

Ozell Robinson, Sr.

DUMAS - Mr. Ozell Robinson, Sr., 64 of Dumas died Monday, December 15, 2014 at Delta Memorial Hospital. He was born May 13, 1950. Visiation is Friday, December 19, 2014 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Serenity Gardens Funeral Services. Funeral Services are Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Union Baptist Church in Dumas. The burial will be following the services in Curtis Hall Cemetery in Pickens, Arkansas. Arrangements announced later by Serenity Gardens Funeral Services.

Arethias Bacon, Sr.

Arethias “Buddy Hall” Bacon, Sr., 85 was born June 23, 1929 in the Ladd Community to the late Mary Caroline Mackrel Hall and Willie Louis Bacon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melzener P. Bacon; two children – Mary Louise Bacon and Clarence Bacon, four sisters and three brothers. He was educated in the Ladd and Hooker Communities.

MONTICELLO - Francene Spencer Matthews, 62 of Monticello passed away Friday, November 14, 2014 at UAMS in Little Rock. She was born November 3, 1952, to the late William and Luberta Colbert Spencer.

Bobby Mcgriff

MONTICELLO - Bobby Lewis McGriff, 80 of Monticello passed away Wednesday at the Guesthouse of Monticello. He was born June 16, 1934 in Lincoln County to Clyde and Beatrice Pierce McGriff. Bobby grew up in Star City and graduated from Star City Schools. He served in both the Army and Air Force and retired as a foreman from Burns & Rowe Construction.

Kenneth Moore, Jr.

Mr. Kenneth Wayne Moore, Jr., 28 of Pine Bluff passed Saturday, November 8, 2014. He was born in Pine Bluff to Kenneth Wayne Moore, Sr. and Mary Ann (Boman) Moore both of Pine Bluff. He is survived by, Sons, Kenneth Wayne Moore, III, Quin Tavo’n Johnson, Daughters, Kamilyah Moore, Na’Taliyah Cannon all of Pine Bluff; Brothers, Kendrick Moore of Kansas City, Bernard Morgan, Jr., Sisters, Jasmine Moore, Tiffany Moore all of Pine Bluff, Trendy Moore of Monticello, Savannah Moore of Amarillo, Texas; Grandmothers, Gloria Brown, Frances Joyner, Great-Grandmother, Johnny Mae White all of Pine Bluff.

Almer Lee

Almer Eugene Lee was born on December 23, 1950 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Almer and Pauline Lee. Both preceded him in death, as well as his brother, Carl Lee. On November 16, 2014 at 8:45 p.m., at Baptist Hospital, he responded to the call from his Heavenly Father to come and rest from all his aches, pains, and labors.
