STAR CITY—Mary Frances Womack, 79 of Star City died Tuesday at Gardner Nursing Center. She was born November 6, 1933 in Searcy to the late Clarence and Blanche Fields Maness. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Star City, retired assistant vice-president at The Bank of Star City for over 32 years, member of The Bridge Club and loyal Star City Bulldog and UCA Bear fan.
Also preceding her in death was her husband of 60 years, Dalda F. Womack.
Survivors include one son, Randy (Gayle) Womack of Gillett; one daughter, Laura (Bo) Holthoff of Dumas; eight grandchildren, Jordan Womack (Ryan) Gardner, Chase (Julianne) Gasaway, Ryan (Kenna) Womack, Sydney Jade Gasaway, Sage Gasaway, Claudia Holthoff Sullivan, Caroline Holthoff and Victoria Holthoff; and six great-grandchildren, Lainie and Reese Gardner, Eli Womack, Isaiah Hayes, Blagg and Bassett Sullivan.
Funeral Services are 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Star City with Bro. Bryan Diffee officiating. Visitation is 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at the church. Graveside will be at 2 p.m. at Gillett Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mark Mallard, Gary Neal Holzhauer, Chase Gasaway, Ryan Womack, Sage Gasaway and Ryan Gardner. The family asks that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, 300 Washington St., Star City, AR 71667. The family would like to send a special Thank You to Gardner Nursing Center and especially Pat Barnhardt and Tammy Smith.
