WHITE HALL — Frances Loree Minchew Hicks, 83, a resident of White Hall, died Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Davis Life Care Center.
Born December 24, 1929, in Hutting, Ark., she was a daughter of Albert and Pearl Allen Minchew.
Mrs. Hicks was reared and received her education in Kelso, graduating from Kelso High School.
She married Oscar H. Hicks, Sr. on January 24, 1948, in Greenville, Miss.
They moved to Pine Bluff in 1952. She had worked for B & B Grocery as a clerk and book keeper before retiring in 1988.
She was a member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar H. Hicks, Sr.; parents; four brothers and a sister.
Survivors include a son, Oscar H. Hicks, Jr. of Watson Chapel; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a loving caregiver Lisa Budd.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2013, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Dr. Roger Stewart officiating.
