WHITE HALL — Frances Marlene Chambliss, 87, of White Hall, Ark., passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014, at White Hall Nursing and Rehab. She was born March 26, 1926, in Yorktown, to James A. and Eunice Gage Waters. She was reared and educated in Star City.
Mrs. Chambliss had worked at Wesley Daycare and was a homemaker. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orval Chambliss, whom she married on November 24, 1954, in Hooker, Ark.; a daughter, Ellen Jane Chambliss and two brothers, Cecil Waters, Sr., and Eugene Waters.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Donald (Doug) of Okla.; sons, Alan Dale Chambliss (Karen) of Little Rock, Sherman Chambliss (Lisa) of White Hall; seven grandchildren, Ryan and Courtney Donald, Corey Chambliss, Kate (Zak) Thomason, Kristen Chambliss, Joshua (Amber) Chambliss, Miranda Chambliss; two great-grandchildren, Scarlett McCumpsey and Jaxson Chambliss; a special caregiver, Sharon Conway.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Hospice Home Care of Pine Bluff and the staff at White Hall Nursing and Rehab.
Graveside services by Ralph Robinson & Son will be 10 a.m., Monday, February 17, 2014, Lone Tree Cemetery with Reverend Matt Weaver, Reverend Richard Couch and Reverend Allen Elkins officiating.
The family will receive friends at Central Baptist Church in White Hall following the service.
