Clyde Everett Emerson, 77, of Pine Bluff,passed away Friday, December 13, 2013.
Born March 20, 1936 at Eudora, he was a son of the late Thomas E. Emerson and Exie Anthony Emerson.
A 1953 graduate of Eudora High School, Mr. Emerson was a member of the International Paper Company’s Quarter Century Club, retiring after 46 years of service as a pipefitter and Maintenance Foreman.
A former Shriner and Mason, Mr. Emerson was always ready to help others both personally and professionally. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, when he wasn’t busy spoiling grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and Henry Emerson.
Mr. Emerson is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Mrs. Lena Dallari Emerson, to whom he married, April 20, 1961 at Camden; sons, Preston Emerson and wife Rita, and Michael Emerson and wife Wendy; twin daughters, Melissa White and husband Phillip, and Melinda Branscum and husband Mark; sister, Faye Craft and husband Roy; sister-in-law, Rosalie Emerson; six grandchildren, Nick, Christy, Sharon, Amanda, Bianca, and Hudson; two great-grandchildren, Abigail, and Rustin; and many other loving family and friends.
A Memorial Gathering will be Wednesday, December 18, from 5-7 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with words of encouragement from Brother Sam Alverson.
